Dentist with a Winning Smile
One dental surgeon based in Jesmond has plenty to smile about after becoming the only
dental surgeon in Newcastle to achieve platinum status for his orthodontic work.
Dr
Max Wassef, a dental surgeon at
Osborne Dental in Jesmond, has been awarded the Invisalign Platinum Practitioner 2009 Award in recognition of advancing the field of orthodontics.
He said: "I’m thrilled to receive this recognition from Invisalign for my work. I’ve gained so much experience from using the
Invisalign invisible brace treatment and I’ve seen it achieve excellent results for my patients, which is very rewarding. The treatment has such a dramatic cosmetic effect on a smile and having straighter teeth always makes a huge difference to a patient’s confidence.”
The
Invisalign clear brace treatment enables adults to have their teeth straightened without having to wear the traditional train track braces. The dentist provides patients with a virtual 3D treatment plan, which shows the series of movements the patient’s teeth will go through so that they can see what their teeth are expected to look like at the end of the treatment.
The dental surgeons at Osborne Dental have undertaken specialist training to provide this treatment.
Onkar Dhanoya, principal dentist at Osborne Dental, said: ““We’re delighted that Dr Wassef’s hard work has been recognised – he has won a well deserved award for helping to create winning smiles!
“Our patients have been very happy with the
Invisalign brace system, especially as our dental surgeons always provide a free initial consultation to discuss a patient's suitability for the treatment.”
Catherine McClennan, Invisalign North East and Scottish co-ordinating manager said: "We are very pleased to present Dr Wassef with this prestigious award. He impressed us with the considerable amount of experience he has gained in the field of orthodontics using the Invisalign invisible brace system and we’re sure he’ll continue to develop his high level of expertise at Osborne Dental."
Staff at Osborne Dental have even more cause to celebrate, having just completed their expansion from three treatment rooms to seven newly equipped and refurbished treatment rooms, including a dedicated dental implant suite.
Earlier this year the practice achieved membership of
The BDA Good Practice Scheme and has now reached the final stages of The BDA Good Practice Scheme Practice of the Year 2009.
